Hello! I’m Mark Petek, your dedicated private guide for mountain adventures across Slovenia.

My commitment to professional guiding stems from a lifelong passion and a career built on the highest standards of safety. I have been a certified Alpinist since 2004 and a Mountaineering Instructor since 2006 (Sports Professional – Level 2); my journey in these mountains runs deep, shaped by decades of technical experience.

My expertise goes beyond the trail. As a Mountain Rescuer since 2011 and a Rescue Dog Handler since 2018, I bring a profound understanding of mountain safety and emergency preparedness to every trip. I am a UIMLA certified Mountain Leader and hold the Mountain Guide ASS Sports Professional - Level 2 certification, ensuring that you are in the most capable hands in the industry.

Since 2015, I’ve had the privilege of leading private journeys through the Julian Alps, Kamnik-Savinja Alps, and the Karawanks. My goal is to share the calm, the connection, and the deep respect for the natural world that these peaks provide.
